Through a cooperative partnership between IBEW 520 and the Central Texas chapter of NECA, funding is provided to the Austin Electrical Training Alliance (AETA) to provide low-cost training to men and women interested in joining the electrical trade. The Austin ETA (formerly known as the Austin JATC) is committed to providing our community with a well-trained and highly skilled workforce. The rigorous five (5) year apprenticeship program run by the AETA provides a competitive advantage for our signatory contractors by graduating extremely competent Journeymen that are ready to hit the ground running.
Please note that Capital IDEA’s support can cover the costs of tuition, union fees, and tools for this program, but only for individuals who meet our qualifications and have been accepted into the apprenticeship program.
