Carpenters Local Union 1266

We represent one trade with many crafts. Our members touch every aspect of a construction project; they’re frequently first on the job and the last to leave. You will find Local 1266 carpenters on commercial, residential, and institutional job sites, providing the skills and experiences that only union training can supply. Our craft areas include: metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, cleanroom construction, utility solar installations, general carpentry, and more.

Women Belong in Carpentry! Every day, thousands of women play a critical role in making the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America the best union in North America. It is no different for Local 1266, Central South women are in every area of the trade and the union: as foremen, superintendents, and lead instructors; on the staff of Councils and locals; and, of course, on jobsites—as carpenters on all kinds of projects, scaffolders, pile drivers, floor layers, and mill-cab and industrial workers.
